EMSA launches new system for efficient
Port State Controls

The European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) has launched RuleCheck, a system aimed at more efficient port state controls. The system has been designed by the Korean Register of Shipping.

It is a tool to simplify the work of port state control officers. With ship type and date of build (as a minimum) of a selected vessel as input, the system gives the officer the full set of regulations that apply to the vessel.
